Addiction & Substance Misuse Treatment services

OL-DBH provides alcohol and substance misuse diagnostic services to determine the presence of alcohol and substance use disorders. As the basis for diagnosis, all alcohol and drug evaluation services utilize criteria established by the DSM-V-TR. Using a plethora of evidence-based screening and diagnostic instruments, our goal is to provide comprehensive assessments for those struggling with addiction. With client assessment results our staff work to arrange treatment, recovery support, and other social services clearing a path to recovery.

Providing intervention for individuals and families burdened with alcohol and substance use disorders, outpatient treatment services include diagnostic services, group and individual counseling, and alcohol and drug use education. OL-DBH's outpatient treatment services are guided by the best and most promising treatment and recovery practices. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) methods are synchronized with a Lakota cultural-based approach and worldview. Group outpatient services work toward creating an environment of positive peer culture to learn from each other's experiences and work together to develop solutions to common problems.
